Uncle Larry, Aunt Dawn, and Ian too,
Ran a holiday 5K right through.
From ten to noon, the race was on,
They pushed ahead from dusk till dawn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In one hour and seventeen minutes\u2019 time,
They crossed the finish\u2014feeling fine!
I took some photos, quite a lot,
So take a look at what I got!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aunt Dawn and Ian, off they sped,
With many runners charging ahead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Uncle Larry, Ian, Aunt Dawn in line,
Smiling bright\u2014they look just fine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two miles left, still going strong,
Ian and Dawn kept moving along.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Three in hats of Christmas cheer
With Ian and Dawn so full of cheer.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n

Uncle Larry and Ian side by side
Running forward with steady stride.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n

Just Ian now, a solo view,
Still pushing on like champs all do.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n

Ian and Dawn once more appear,
Determined faces, full of cheer.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n

A Santa-clad man joined the scene,
With Ian smiling\u2014bright and keen.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n

An eagle\u2026 maybe? Hard to say,
But something flew not far away!<\/p>\n\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n

Geese were floating, calm and slow,
Drifting gently down below.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n

Ian and Dawn near the end,
With strength and spirit left to spend.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n

Almost there\u2014the finish line!
Ian\u2019s doing great, feeling fine!<\/p>\n\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n

After the race, a treat so sweet,
Dessert was served\u2014a perfect treat!
Dee had made it with such care,
And Ian loved each bite to share.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n

The next race? That\u2019s far away,
Too cold for me to run today.
Twenty to thirty\u2014chilly air,
I\u2019d rather wait for warmth out there.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n

Fifty degrees would feel just right,
A better time to run with might.
We\u2019ll see when I decide to go\u2014
For now, I\u2019ll skip the winter snow!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
