{"id":7769,"date":"2006-04-22T17:17:00","date_gmt":"2006-04-22T17:17:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/surfpup.net\/blog\/?p=7769"},"modified":"2026-04-13T17:18:57","modified_gmt":"2026-04-13T17:18:57","slug":"battle-worn","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/surfpup.net\/blog\/2006\/04\/22\/battle-worn\/","title":{"rendered":"Battle-Worn"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">On the planet, there was a town,<br>a special town that had renown,<br>here resided a large compound,<br>where aliens lived underground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">They watched over earthlings for many years,<br>waiting for the right moment to appear,<br>the moment they forever changed my career,<br>which involved getting drunk and brewing beer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Ever since then, I led the humans in war,<br>I fought the aliens with my special corps,<br>I didn&#8217;t like violence as I did before,<br>I didn&#8217;t want anyone to die anymore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Once, when we were assailed,<br>I feared that we would fail,<br>but in the end, we prevailed,<br>and we all drank lots of ale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Now I&#8217;m relaxed and retired,<br>battle-worn and admired,<br>I seem to have inspired,<br>many of today&#8217;s sires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">So here I sit, writing this story,<br>about peace, victory, and glory.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On the planet, there was a town,a special town that had renown,here resided a large compound,where aliens lived underground.
