My journey started on the PC,
A brand-new world awaiting me.
I couldn’t remember this game at all,
So this felt like my very first call.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I’d never walked this road before,
With hidden secrets to explore.
From the very start, I loved the game,
And every challenge that soon came.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To start my class, I chose with care,
Pyromancy’s fire burned bright there.
For my gift, the Master Key,
Seemed like the perfect choice for me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
An ancient asylum, cold and gray,
Held me captive far away.
Its broken walls and silent halls
Echoed through those lonely walls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A stranger appeared from high above,
A simple act of unexpected love.
He tossed a key into my cell,
Then vanished before I knew him well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Alone inside those prison walls,
I searched the room from floor to halls.
The heavy door refused to move,
No matter what I tried to prove.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Then on the floor, a glimmer shone,
A little treasure all alone.
The Dungeon Cell Key caught my eye,
A welcome gift I couldn’t deny.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I picked it up without delay,
Then turned and made my careful way.
The rusty lock clicked open wide,
As freedom waited just outside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One careful step, then one step more,
Into halls I’d never seen before.
The journey had at last begun,
With countless battles yet to come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Some doors were sealed both firm and tight,
No amount of force could make them right.
Their heavy bolts refused to yield,
Each hidden path remained concealed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Then came a chamber dark and wide,
Where something monstrous lurked inside.
A towering Demon, fierce and tall,
Beyond the room\u2014I couldn’t reach it at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Its mighty footsteps shook the floor,
A warning of the fights in store.
I looked ahead without much fear,
“My time will come\u2026 but not quite here.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I turned away and chose to run,
For this first battle wasn’t won.
I’d grow much stronger by and by,
Then face that beast with head held high.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Let’s move ahead a little more,
To see what waits beyond the door.
A few Hollow soldiers wandered near,
They watched me close but showed no fear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They stared at me from where they stood,
Yet never struck, which felt quite good.
I wasn’t ready for a fight,
So leaving them alone felt right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The halls stretched farther down the way,
Inviting me to come and play.
Each corner held a brand-new sight,
With mystery hidden out of sight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the far end, I looked around,
A lonely ladder there was found.
So up I climbed one rung at a time,
Until I reached the top to climb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Two different pathways met my eyes,
Each one held another surprise.
A bonfire glowed with gentle light,
A peaceful rest after my fright.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I lit the fire and took a seat,
Its warming flames felt calm and sweet.
The crackling embers danced so bright,
Driving back the endless night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I searched the menu one more time,
Expecting leveling to be mine.
But no such option could I see\u2014
Not enough souls had come to me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So back I stood without delay,
And carried on along my way.
The journey waited just ahead,
With greater dangers still to tread.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One doorway there was locked up tight,
The other opened just right.
I stepped inside with cautious pace,
Exploring every shadowed place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A few more footsteps, calm and slow,
Then suddenly\u2014a crushing blow!
The mighty demon crashed below,
Its thunder shook the halls below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Without a pause, I turned and ran,
Escaping just as fast I can.
Another doorway came in sight,
I sprinted there with all my might.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I almost reached the open door,
Just one more step to safety’s floor.
I slipped inside and shut it tight,
Escaping from the Demon’s might.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The heavy door stayed firmly closed,
The raging beast could not impose.
Safe inside, I caught my breath,
Escaping what could have been death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Another bonfire burned nearby,
Its gentle flames caught my eye.
I lit the fire and took my rest,
Preparing for another test.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Again I checked to level high,
But still the choice passed me by.
No souls to spend, no strength to gain\u2014
I’d simply have to fight again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So onward went my one-hand quest,
Determined always to do my best.
Each careful step would help me see\u2026
This was only the start for me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I left the bonfire’s warming light,
Prepared for yet another fight.
The path ahead was long and steep,
With hidden secrets there to keep.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Before too long, an archer stood,
Sending arrows where he could.
I raised no shield\u2014I had none yet,
So every step was quite a threat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As I drew closer to the foe,
Something below began to glow.
An item rested on the floor,
A helpful gift\u2014and so much more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I picked it up with careful hands,
A sturdy shield to fit my plans.
I opened up the menu screen,
To see what all my gear could mean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I placed the shield upon my arm,
Ready now to block from harm.
With every step, I felt much stronger,
Ready to explore much longer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The archer fired once again,
But I was ready now, and then
My shield stopped every arrow’s flight,
Turning danger into might.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The frightened Hollow turned to flee,
Running farther up from me.
I chased him up the narrow stair,
Determined I would meet him there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Another treasure caught my eye,
A weapon waiting close nearby.
I gladly claimed my brand-new blade,
A stronger choice for battles made.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Back into the menu then,
I switched my weapons once again.
Everything was set just right,
Now I was ready for the fight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Up another staircase high,
The Hollow waited by and by.
Another arrow flew my way,
But I blocked it anyway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I closed the distance, nice and fast,
The final moment came at last.
One solid strike was all I needed,
And that lone archer was defeated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I searched around with watchful eyes,
Expecting yet another prize.
There were two pathways left to see\u2014
One climbed high, one dropped for me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Curious, I wandered down,
Where one more heavy door was found.
The rusty lock gave way at last,
And through the doorway I walked past.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Then something made me stop and grin\u2014
I’d circled back to where I’d been!
A clever shortcut now was made,
One less dangerous path to brave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I rested by the fire once more,
Before returning to explore.
The warm, familiar flames burned bright,
Preparing me for what I’d fight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Back upstairs I made my way,
Ready for another day.
But all at once a rumbling sound
Sent echoes rolling all around.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A giant boulder thundered by,
So fast it nearly made me fly!
I leaped aside just in time,
Escaping with a narrow climb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The massive stone smashed through the wall,
Sending broken rocks to fall.
Dust and rubble filled the air,
Revealing something hidden there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Inside I found a weary knight,
His strength was fading from the fight.
He looked at me with tired eyes,
Yet still held one last surprise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He spoke to me both calm and kind,
With wisdom shaped by troubled times.
Then into my waiting hands
He placed two gifts both strong and grand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Estus Flask became my own,
A treasure every player’s known.
It healed my wounds with golden light,
A faithful friend in every fight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He also gave a special key,
The Undead Asylum F2 East Key.
Another doorway now could fall,
Unlocking secrets through the hall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I thanked the knight before I went,
For every gift his kindness lent.
Though near the end of life’s last breath,
He gave me hope before his death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Back upstairs I climbed once more,
Returning to the upper floor.
Another Hollow blocked my way,
Ready for a fight that day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He rushed ahead with sword held high,
Certain I would surely die.
But I stood firm and kept my ground,
My courage strong, my focus sound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One clean swing was all it took,
The Hollow fell with one last look.
Another victory came my way,
As brighter grew the coming day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Step by step, I learned the game,
Each new battle built my aim.
Every lesson made me see\u2026
Dark Souls was teaching patiently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With key in hand, I made my way,
Back through the halls without delay.
The eastern door was locked before,
But now it opened even more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Inside, an item caught my eye,
Resting where the stones did lie.
A few more Hollows waited near,
Watching me without much fear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I backed away to safer ground,
Where better footing could be found.
One by one they charged at me,
But one by one they fell with ease.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The hallway finally became clear,
So I checked my newest gear.
I opened up the menu screen,
To see what all my loot could mean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Pyromancy Flame was there,
A gift I’d use with skill and care.
I placed it in my right-hand slot,
Then switched back to my sword on the spot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Now prepared for what lay near,
I walked ahead without much fear.
An archer waited down the hall,
Trying hard to make me fall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
His arrows flew both fast and true,
But straight ahead I still broke through.
I blocked, I moved, I kept my pace,
Determined nothing I’d misplace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Two more Hollows met their end,
The finish line drew close again.
Then standing proudly in the hall,
A stronger knight challenged it all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He held a sword beside his shield,
Refusing every inch to yield.
I watched him closely, calm and still,
Waiting for the perfect skill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He raised his blade and charged at me,
Certain of his victory.
But timing made the difference there\u2014
A perfect parry through the air.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
His weapon bounced, his guard gave way,
He never saw that final day.
One mighty strike was all I gave,
And sent him to an early grave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Another doorway caught my eye,
Still locked, no matter how I’d try.
Its mystery would have to wait,
Another time would test my fate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The halls were silent all around,
Not one more Hollow could be found.
Each room I’d searched from wall to wall,
No enemies remained at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Then through the hallway, straight ahead,
A curtain made of ghostly thread.
A wall of fog stood cold and white,
Concealing one more deadly fight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I took a breath and softly said,
“Let’s see what waits for me ahead.”
With steady hands and courage true,
I stepped into the mist right through.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Below me stood a monstrous sight,
The Asylum Demon, built for might.
It looked at me with glowing eyes,
A towering beast of massive size.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But I remembered what I’d seen,
Back when I fled that frightening scene.
This time I had another plan\u2014
To strike before the fight began.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I leaped above with sword held high,
Descending swiftly through the sky.
My plunging attack landed true,
A crushing blow the Demon knew.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Its health dropped down with one huge hit,
But still the fight was far from quit.
The Demon roared and raised its axe,
Beginning fierce and brutal attacks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It swung with all its fearsome might,
Enough to end me in one strike.
I rolled away just in the nick,
Escaping every heavy hit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Then out came my Pyromancy Flame,
Fire quickly changed the game.
Bright burning blasts flew through the air,
Scorching the Demon standing there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Again it swung its giant axe,
Trying hard with heavy attacks.
I rolled away, then turned once more,
Sending flames across the floor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Again\u2026 and again\u2026 the fire flew,
Each blast hit hard and straight and true.
Its mighty health began to fall,
The giant wasn’t strong at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Just one more spell would end the fight,
I held my ground and aimed it right.
The final flame burned fierce and bright,
And brought an end to that long fight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Demon stumbled, then it fell,
Its mighty roar became farewell.
My very first great boss was done,
Another victory had been won.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One-handed gaming, strong and true,
Had carried me the whole way through.
The lesson from that battle’s call\u2014
With patience, I can conquer all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The mighty Demon breathed no more,
A special treasure hit the floor.
The Big Pilgrim’s Key was mine at last,
The first great trial was finally passed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I picked it up with steady pride,
Then searched the room from side to side.
A giant doorway stood ahead,
Now waiting where the Demon bled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The massive lock was built to last,
But now my key had fit at last.
The heavy doors swung open wide,
Revealing what was just outside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I took a breath and ventured through,
Excited for a brand-new view.
Near the left, against the wall,
A glowing Soul was there to call.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I picked it up without delay,
Another prize along the way.
Every item, great or small,
Could help me through the trials ahead of all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I walked until the path was done,
When suddenly a scene began.
A giant raven spread its wings,
One of Lordran’s ancient kings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Its mighty talons reached for me,
Then lifted me up gracefully.
High above the world we soared,
Beyond the walls I’d known before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mountains stretched beneath the sky,
Clouds and castles drifting by.
I looked around in great surprise,
Wonder filling both my eyes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At last the raven came to rest,
Delivering me on my quest.
A peaceful place now came in view,
With ancient ruins touched by dew.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This place was called Firelink Shrine,
A peaceful place to rest awhile.
The crackling bonfire burned so bright,
A welcome beacon in the night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I walked up close and took my seat,
The warming fire felt calm and sweet.
Then something new appeared to me,
A choice I’d hoped I’d finally see.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At last\u2026 Level Up filled the screen,
The option I’d been hoping to see.
No longer would I simply wait\u2014
Now I could help decide my fate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I studied every stat with care,
Thinking long before I’d share.
Should Strength become my chosen road,
To carry every heavier load?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Or Vitality, strong and true,
Giving health to pull me through?
Maybe Endurance was the key,
For more stamina helping me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Attunement whispered, “Choose me too,
More spell slots waiting just for you.”
Each decision shaped my way,
For every challenge yet to play.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I spent my souls with thoughtful care,
Preparing for what waited there.
A little stronger than before,
Ready to open every door.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I sat beside the fire’s warm light,
Thinking of my very first fight.
The Asylum now was far behind,
But greater trials filled my mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
How many bosses would I face?
How many paths would I embrace?
How many victories could I claim,

This was only chapter one,
My grand adventure had begun.
With one hand guiding every move,
I still had everything to prove.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
No matter what stood in my way,
I’d keep on fighting every day.
I’d learn each lesson, earn each soul,
And never lose sight of my goal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One-handed gaming, proud and strong,
Has been my path my whole life long.
