My Monitor Setup, Moving the Couch, and Even More!

I bought a monitor six years or more ago,
And set it up myself to make it go!
It also came with speakers too,
But they were far too quiet through and through.

I also have a five-to-one HDMI switch,
Changing ports is easy with one simple click!
If I pause YouTube along the way,
I switch to my PC without delay.

Now I can switch to PS5 with ease,
Or Switch, Switch 2—whichever I please.
PC, Fire TV, or Xbox Series X too,
Changing between them is easy to do!

I bought another HDMI switch one day,
Though I no longer need it anyway.
Downstairs, one room sat empty for a while,
Until we gave it a brand-new style.

The couch I use is down there too,
A comfy place with quite a view.
I used to stretch there for a while,
My right arm joining all the while.

Now I wear a brace each day,
After surgery changed my way.
My right arm no longer needs one now,
But my right foot still wears one when I’m out.

I can’t quite stretch the way I did;
Those stretches now are very few.
I still don’t feel my right fingers at all,
Yet I still stretch them now and then.

Only now and then, a time or two,
It’s just about all that I can do.
I can’t do much with them these days,
But I’ve found new hobbies in many ways!

Anyway, the couch had gathered quite a pile,
With odds and ends there for a while.
I cleaned it up and cleared the space,
Then Wyatt helped rearrange the place.

He moved the couch beside the door;
It wouldn’t fit the way before.
He took some screws out to make it fit,
Then through the other door we guided it.

It took some time, but in the end,
The room looked better once again.
Now everything fits nicely there,
And there’s much more room to spare.

Now there’s a TV and a couch to use,
A cozy spot whenever we choose.
Now it has become Mom’s own space,
Where she can stretch at her own pace.
She can switch between apps with ease,
Or PS4 and Roku, if she pleases.

Anyway, back to the speakers now—
I couldn’t turn the volume high,
No matter how hard I would try.
It left me feeling quite annoyed,
So better options I employed.

I searched for speakers on Amazon’s site,
And ordered two more things that night.
This time they came with HDMI,
Plus speakers built to satisfy.

I can switch to Bluetooth with ease,
Or use the monitor speakers, if you please.
The remote lets me turn the sound up or down,
Making everything much easier around.

The speakers are bigger than before,
And sound much better than the pair of yore.
The old ones still must stay turned on,
Or all the newer sound is gone.

I also have to plug them in,
Then switch to Aux to hear the din.
I can move the monitor and speakers too;
Just a little to the right will do.

Then I can use them from my bed,
Where comfort waits for me instead.
To watch YouTube or play a game,
They work out well just the same.

The chair is still my better place,
For recording with my mic in place.
But when I’m sitting on my bed,
The microphone stays on my desk instead.

I still use the monitor every day,
And its built-in speakers still play away.
If the newer speakers ever should fail,
The built-in ones will still prevail!

Anyway, this poem’s at its end;
Until next time, my faithful friend!
